Gentei Japan (限定 = "limited edition") tracks new and limited-time foods at Japan's convenience stores and restaurant chains, so travelers and Japan fans abroad can see what's on shelves right now — and what's coming next week.

Where the data comes from

Everything is collected automatically, twice a day, from official sources only: the product listing pages of 7-Eleven Japan, FamilyMart and Lawson, and the official press releases of the restaurant chains we cover (McDonald's Japan, KFC Japan, Starbucks Japan, Sukiya, Yoshinoya, Matsuya, Matsunoya, Mister Donut, Hanamaru Udon and more). Product images belong to the respective chains and link back to their official pages.

What to keep in mind

• Prices are in Japanese yen, tax included, as published by each chain.
• Availability varies by store and region — items marked "Regional" are only sold in the listed areas.
• Release dates can change, and popular items sell out.
• English and Traditional Chinese names are our own translations; the original Japanese name is always shown too.
